The Fire Brigade is a Dungeons and Dragons group that I am the Dungeon Master for. The group features Amber as Philip Shieldbiter, Erin as Pie-Ella, Patrick as Weepee Herman, Rachel as Spuddy and Danielle as Deilis Liadon. The Story Time series will describe the actions of the group and events as they progressed through the Curse of Strahd. Each character is complete with a 3D recreation courtesy of the website heroforge.com. You can customise and create 3D models on Hero Forge and purchase 3D printed versions of them.
Sir Philip Shieldbiter
Sir Philip is the next in line of a noble family and the descendant of a mighty silver dragon. He is engaged to a princess of the sea, a mermaid by the name of Coral. Philip left behind his noble life in the pursuit of divine guidance. He joined a Paladin order honoring Fharlanghn, the dweller on the horizon, god of horizon, traveling and roads. Fharlaghn guided Sir Philip in his journeys, introducing him to the rest of the party.
Pie-Ella
Pie-Ella does not remember her past. When she woke up, Pie-Ella did not even remember her own name, giving herself the name of the first meal she ate. The halfling lived as a charlatan in the immense city of Waterdeep, picking pockets with her mouse Leviathan to survive. She honed her skills in deception and stealth. Applying those skills to her life, she became a rogue, an assassin. She befriended Deilis Liadon in Waterdeep and has traveled with her ever since.
Weepee Herman
His past a mystery, Weepee Herman made a pact with the Great Old One and sold his half-elf soul for powers beyond his own comprehension. He used these unbelievable powers to... entertain children with magical puppets and tricks. Weepee favors utility spells over destruction spells, promising a spell for any situation. He begun his travels hosting a mad puppet show and eventually fell in with the rest of the party.
Spuddy
Spuddy is still a child, but is perhaps the most maniacal member of the group. He fell off the back of his parents cart when they were traveling from their village to Waterdeep and they didn't turn back to pick him up. Abandoned, alone, Spuddy lived in the wilderness for months. He attuned to nature, learning druidic spells and rituals and emerged into the world a changed boy. Spuddy is a shy halfling and rarely speaks, but can read a situation better than anyone.
Deilis Liadon
The Liadon family has strict rules. The first born is promised to the church to become a cleric. The second born is sent into the wild to train as a ranger. Deilis was the older of twins and indistinguishable from her sister. Deilis rebelled against her family, choosing to become a ranger instead of a cleric, despite tradition. She made a deal with her sister to pretend to be one another, tricking the family into thinking everything is normal. Deilis left Waterdeep, Pie-Ella in tow, and traveled the world honing her ranger skills.
